POSITION SUMMARY: Create patient-facing educational materials in support of care management guidelines across the continuum of care.
Milliman Care Guidelines Major Responsibilities
1. Create patient-facing materials in support of care management guidelines across the continuum of care. These include preoperative, discharge, and inpatient care plans, as well as outpatient chronic care management.
2. Develop and adhere to company style guide and grade level.
3. Recommend and implement changes in format, scope, and content of existing documents.
4. Work with medical illustrator to add graphics content.
5. Work with translation company to enable translation into Spanish and other foreign languages.
6. Interactions with all stakeholders including both internal and external customers.
Experience Required:
1. At least two years of experience writing and editing patient education materials.
2. Bachelor's degree in a related field.
3. Clinical degree a plus, but not required.
4. Familiarity with authoring using XML text editor preferred.
5. Applicants that are invited to participate in the interview process will be required to submit a sample of recently created patient education materials.
Education or Training: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
