POSITION SUMMARY: As a key member of the management team at Milliman Care Guidelines, the Strategic Alliance Director will serve as the Milliman Care Guidelines representative to healthcare software vendors who integrate clinical content to support decision making within their applications.  This position is responsible for (1) the development and management of key vendor relationships (2) identifying where the most profitable opportunities exist for relationship expansion, and (3) formulating strategies and action plans to address identified market opportunities. 

 

This person will exhibit a solid understanding of Milliman products and how they integrated with vendor software offerings.  This position is responsible for formulating and managing strategic partnerships which integrate Milliman's clinical content and software with third party applications.  Working closely with the sales executives and product managers, this person will align integrated product offerings with market opportunity.

 

Milliman Care Guidelines Major Responsibilities

·          Set the strategic direction of the alliance program in collaboration with sales, aligning it with the strategic vision of the company.

·          Build strategic relationships with selected vendors, developing an understanding of their software offerings and how Milliman can add value to their products

·          Initiate and lead executive level discussions with strategic vendors to establish and maintain relationships.

·          Work with sales team to align initiatives, creating increased market opportunities.

·          Oversee the ongoing maintenance and support of vendor integrations.

·          Coordinate with other members of Milliman Care Guidelines to establish seamless customer experience for mutual clients.

·          Constant communication with the partner, creation and execution of partnership terms, enforcement of partnership agreements, and working with the partner to present a unified solution to the mutual client.

·          Communication of strategic alliance program and vendor integration status to all internal parties.

·          Accountable for reporting progress, financial gains/losses, and other metrics pertinent to the partnership strategy.

 

Experience Required:

·          10 years proven excellent business development and customer service skills

·          10 years management or working with alliance partners

·          Five years IT healthcare experience preferred

·          Ability to work directly with executive level staff – both internally and externally

·          Experience creating and executing business agreements

·          Strategically focused

·          Experience working with and documenting in a customer relationship management product

·          Strong project management skills

·          Strong people management skills

·          Able to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused, changing environment

·          Able to work independently, and be self-directed

·          Willingness to travel up to 50%

·          Sales experience ideal

·          Knowledge of Milliman Care Guidelines products ideal

 

Education or Training: Four-year degree required, Masters preferred
