POSITION SUMMARY: Designs and builds algorithmic display for guideline clinical content. Uses computerized tools to produce assessments in sequential question format.

 

1.       Position reports in editorial department and requires relationships with clinical editors, particularly managing editors.

2.       Build and maintain excellent relationships with business product development

3.       Build and maintain excellent relationships with information technology

 

Milliman Care Guidelines Major Responsibilities

1. Insert clinical content into algorithmic clinical decision support tools, such as those for case management, disease management, and prior authorization.

2. Design and build algorithmic display for guideline clinical content.

3. Support customer workflow with algorithmic delivery of clinical content.

4. Understanding of regulatory and accreditation requirements related to care management.

5. Familiar with decision trees and branching logic.

 

Experience Required:

1. Three+ years of clinical nursing experience

2. Case management certification a plus

3. Managed care, health system, or large medical group experience in nonclinical role (e.g., case manager, utilization review coordinator, referral coordinator, appeals coordinator) in which computerized systems were used for decision support

4. Experience creating algorithms for care planning, guidelines, or other decision support, using computerized systems

5. Familiarity with XML text editor a plus

 

Education or Training: RN license. BSN preferred.
