Objectives

At the conclusion of this training session, the learner will be able to:

  1. Identify the appropriate guideline
  2. Identify a patient’s clinical status using the clinical indications
  3. Define the term “current role remains uncertain” as it applies to Ambulatory Care
  4. Utilize the Optimal Treatment Guidelines to identify gaps in quality outpatient care
  5. Identify clinical indications for referral to a specific specialist utilizing the Referral Management Section

  1. Define the 5 levels of care within the Behavioral Health Guidelines
    • Inpatient Care
    • Residential Care
    • Partial Hospital Program
    • Intensive Outpatient Program
    • Acute Outpatient Care
  2. Interpret the Clinical Indications for Admission for each Level of Care
  3. Apply key components of the Optimal Recovery Course to monitor inpatient progression
  4. Apply key component of the Recovery Course to monitor treatment progression at lower levels of care
  5. Define the use of the Behavioral Health Guidelines Annotated Bibliography
